ADAPT NoCarbon Data Privacy Policy

This app is owned by ADAPT Mobility, Inc. (ADAPT). This app’s Data Privacy Policy has been developed to explain our company’s policy with respect to the privacy of users of this app. This Privacy Policy is designed to explain our practices regarding collection, use, and disclosure of information that you may provide via this app.

Your consent

By using this app, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use this app. Whenever you submit information via this app, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of that information according to the terms of this Privacy Policy. ADAPT reserves the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this policy at any time. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes in the privacy policy. Your continued use of this app following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes.

Users under the age of 16

ADAPT NoCarbon was designed for use by individuals of driving age with an interest in reducing global warming by engaging in communities. Through each of these communities where like-minded individuals are sharing burden toward a common global-warming reduction objective. However, occasionally unintended users such as children under the age of 16 may visit this app. We will not knowingly collect information from or sell ADAPT products to app visitors in this age group. We encourage parents to talk to their children about their use of the Internet and the information they disclose to Web apps.

What information do we collect?

Our app’s Profile section recommend users to provide us with personal contact information (name, e-mail address, city of residence, etc.) for advanced features use only and it’s not required for the app’s basic usage. We use this contact information to provide personalized enhanced experience when using the app. The only personally identifying information that we collect and store about you is the information that you choose to provide to us. We will use this contact information, to recommend relevant global-warming reduction initiatives that we think you might be interested in regarding your mobility patterns.

How personally identifiable information may be used

You may be given the choice to complete other forms and questionnaires that would be used by other companies that are our partners on this app or companies and contractors that we use to support our business (e.g., fulfillment services, technical support, delivery services, and financial institutions). In some cases, these companies have access to some of your personal information in order to provide services to you on our behalf. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

ADAPT may also share your personal information:

• When you agreed to the sharing.
• When we are required to provide information in response to a subpoena, court order, or other applicable law or legal process.
• When we have a good faith belief that the disclosure is necessary to prevent or respond to fraud, defend our webapp against attacks, or protect the property and safety of ADAPT, our customers, or the public.
• If we merge with or are acquired by another company, if we sell an ADAPT application, or business unit, or if all or a substantial portion of our assets are acquired by another company. In those cases your information will likely be one of the assets that is transferred.

Also, we may share or publish aggregate information that doesn’t specifically identify you, such as statistical information about usage activities to our app.

It is our policy not to release any personally identifiable information without your permission. If you do not wish for ADAPT to share your information, you may opt-out of the sharing, but this might mean that you are unable to take advantage of services on our app. Organizations with which we do share your information are prohibited from using that information for any purpose other than for a limited stated purpose.

Contact information is also used to get in touch with the user when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings.

Passive information collection

As a user install this app, certain anonymous information can be passively collected using various technologies, such as device meta data, application id, IP addresses, and navigational data collection. Upon first use of the app, user is requested explicitly to grant location sharing and motion sensing permissions to the app. Denial of such permissions will reduce some auto-tracking features of the app, but the app is still functional with most of the features. This app may use and combine such passively collected anonymous information to provide enhanced features to app users, customize the app based on your preferences, compile and analyze statistics and trends and otherwise administer and improve the app for your use.

User choices

You may set your mobile device to: (1) inform you when app requests for location sharing and motion sensing permissions; (2) accept or deny permission to share your device location; and (3) accept or deny permission to allow the app to use your device’s motion sensors at any time. Your ability to use certain location aware and tracking features on the app may be limited if you choose options 2 and/or 3.

The user may choose not to provide ADAPT with any contact information. This choice may limit you from having full access to services that are offered and you may be restricted in your ability to take full advantage of our app.

We take every precaution to protect your information from accidental disclosure and intrusion by third parties. The user activity data has been set-up to be totally secure from the device to the server. Login to the account and all activity in the account itself is protected via SSL. SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer, a technology for managing the security of online message transmission. SSL encrypts or scrambles any information sent from your device to our server, making it impossible to intercept or steal information on the way. This means that all data to and from ADAPT’s server is highly encrypted so that no one can snoop on the information unless they are looking over your shoulder. When information is submitted in our app, the data is saved in a secure database, so even snoops on the server end cannot determine what answers you provided on the app.

ADAPT NoCarbon app may contain links or references to other apps or websites. ADAPT is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these other external apps or websites. Visitors to these linked apps should read the privacy statements of each and every app that they visit.

Security

ADAPT believes it has taken reasonable and prudent steps to make certain that information transmitted and stored on the ADAPT NoCarbon app server is secure (see above descriptions pertaining to security features), that the sever is safe from environmental hazards, intrusion and electronic failure, that the management of the security measures is adequate, and that protected health information is accessible to our subscribers.
